Intercapital Invest 2009 Results

Intercapital Invest strengthened its position as one of the strongest independent securities brokers in Romania in 2009, a year when the market's liquidity and volatility continued to be driven by the international financial crisis.

The company executed 33 Million EUR in equity trades in the last quarter of 2009, compared to 14 Million EUR in Q4 2008. The value of equity trades executed by the company for the entire year was 104 Million EUR, compared to 175 Million in 2008.

The value of the company's fixed income trades was 0.2 Million EUR in Q4 2009 and 3.6 Million for the entire year, compared to 1.2 Million in Q4 2008 and 8.9 for the entire year of 2008.

As for derivatives, in Q4 2009 Intercapital Invest executed 12.4 Million EUR in derivatives trades on Sibex and 1.9 Million EUR in derivatives on the Bucharest Stock Exchange.

Intercapital Invest had a total of 4,257 clients at the end of 2009, compared to 4,055 at the end of the previous year. The company's estimated revenues were 1.3 Million EUR for 2009, compared to 2.3 Million in 2008, while 2009's net result was close to zero, close to the result of 2008 (-8,000 EUR).

Intercapital Invest expanded its presence on the local Capital Market in 2009. The company managed the only two IPOs launched in Romania last year, for funds OTP WiseRO and OTP Green Energy, both closed successfully. The offerings also marked a number of firsts for the Romanian Market, including the first investment fund created after an IPO, the first structured product listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange and the first IPO distributed online.

Intercapital Invest also finalized the acquisition of the asset manager Investica Asset Management, a platform for launching new products and services for investors.

The company continued its efforts to support and optimize investment strategies of its clients, by offering a series of free courses and seminars, publishing new quarterly, market and issuer reports and adding new tools in the Intercapital Start online financial analysis system.

Intercapital Invest continued investing throughout 2009, by launching a new version of ktrade.ro, the company's online trading platform and by implementing a new back office system.
